The Snow Queen: Musical Family Show at Satiriko Theatre

The Snow Queen is a musical theatre production for the whole family, presented by the Children's Stage of Satiriko Theatre in Nicosia, Cyprus, premiering on Sunday, 4 October 2026. Based on the beloved fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen and adapted and directed by Eleni Anastasiou, the show runs every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at the Main Stage of Satiriko Theatre. A magical and contemporary theatrical experience for children aged 3 and above, with a running time of 60 minutes.

Aris and Aphrodite are inseparable friends who have made a promise: if one ever gets lost, the other will go and find them. But one day Aris begins to change — he withdraws, grows distant, and everything he once loved suddenly feels meaningless. As he closes himself off, the world around him grows cold. Then the Snow Queen appears: mysterious, unpredictable and captivating, she takes Aris away to her frozen kingdom. But Aphrodite refuses to give up on her friend. Remembering their promise, she sets off on a journey that will test not only their friendship, but her own strength and courage.

This vibrant, contemporary production blends original music, songs, humour, movement and a world that transforms with the seasons. At its heart, the show speaks to children about things they experience today: change, emotions that are hard to share, friendships that are tested, and the need to feel heard and understood.
