Hey, I'm Simon.

Cyprus.BZ started from a simple frustration. Every weekend I'd want to find something fun to do - a concert, a food festival, a cultural night, something for the kids, literally anything. But actually finding what's happening in Cyprus? That was a mission on its own.

You'd have to check a dozen different websites, scroll through Facebook pages, dig into municipality sites that bury events three clicks deep, and browse random Instagram stories hoping to spot something. Some platforms only list nightlife. Others haven't been updated in months. And a lot of really cool local events? You'd never even know they existed unless you happened to know the organizer personally.

Every weekend it was the same story - 20 to 30 minutes of searching just to figure out what was going on. It was frustrating, and I figured if I'm having this problem, so is everyone else living here.

The idea was simple: one place where you can see everything happening across Cyprus. No more jumping between ten different sites.

Cyprus.BZ pulls events together from all over — venues, municipalities, cultural organizations, ticketing platforms, you name it. It all goes into one system so you can quickly find what you're into, whether that's live music, theatre, festivals, family stuff, sports, nightlife, or those small local experiences that usually fly under the radar.

It's what I wished existed when I first moved here, and now it does.

The name Cyprus.BZ reflects the idea behind the project. In my head, "BZ" stood for "Busy", as in "Busy Cyprus." A place where there is always something happening, something to explore, something to experience.

Cyprus is full of events, culture, and local activities. They were just scattered everywhere. Cyprus.BZ brings them together.
