Amenra

Amenra are a Belgian post-metal band from Ghent, formed in 1999, who have become one of the most critically acclaimed and intensely atmospheric acts in heavy music. Led by vocalist Colin H. van Eeckhout and guitarist Mathieu J. Vandekerckhove, the band create music of extraordinary emotional depth — slow, crushing, and deeply spiritual — informed as much by ritual, faith, and personal suffering as by musical tradition. Their albums, particularly the Mass series, have earned them devoted international following and comparisons to Neurosis and Cult of Luna. Their live performances are legendary for their intensity and cathartic power. Their performance at DownTown Live in Nicosia was a milestone event for Cyprus's metal and post-rock community.
