Kalush Orchestra

Kalush Orchestra are a Ukrainian musical collective whose extraordinary genre-blending fusion of hip-hop, Ukrainian folk music, and electronic production brought them to global attention when they won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with their song Stefania. Formed by rapper Oleh Psiuk and bandmates in 2019, the group incorporates traditional Ukrainian instruments including the sopilka and hurdy-gurdy alongside contemporary beatmaking and rap delivery, creating a sound that is both deeply rooted in Ukrainian cultural tradition and completely modern. Their Eurovision victory — which came weeks after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine — made them symbols of Ukrainian cultural resilience and sovereignty. Their performance at Notes Live in Cyprus brought one of the most significant musical acts in contemporary European culture to the island.
