Maceo Plex is the main alias of Eric Estornel, an American DJ and producer born in Texas in 1978 to a Cuban family and now based in Spain. After years of darker techno as Maetrik and experimental electro as Mariel Ito, he broke through in 2011 with the album 'Life Index' on Crosstown Rebels. He runs the Ellum Audio and Lone Romantic labels and headlines major clubs and festivals worldwide.
