Slava Komissarenko

Slava Komissarenko is a Ukrainian stand-up comedian born in Kharkiv in 1989, who has become one of the most significant comedic voices of his generation. Known for sharp, politically aware stand-up that addresses Ukrainian cultural identity, the absurdities of post-Soviet life, and — since 2022 — the reality of living through Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Komissarenko brings an extraordinary combination of humour, anger, and resilience to his performances. His shows have toured Ukrainian diaspora communities worldwide, providing both laughter and solidarity in difficult times. His performance at the Pattihio Theatre in Limassol resonated deeply with Cyprus's Ukrainian and Russian-speaking communities.
