L'Elisir d'Amore: Donizetti Opera at Limassol Patticheio Theatre

The Cyprus Opera Society (Οργανισμός Λυρικής Σκηνής Κύπρου) presents Gaetano Donizetti's beloved comic opera L'Elisir d'Amore (The Elixir of Love) at the Limassol Patticheio Municipal Theatre, Cyprus, on 13 and 15 September 2026 at 20:30. This acclaimed production unites an outstanding international and Cypriot cast with the Limassol Camerata Orchestra in a charming 1950s Italian countryside setting.

The production is conducted by Maestro Piergiorgio Del Nunzio and directed by stage director Paolo Baiocco. The cast features soprano Maria Papaioannou as Adina, tenor Lorenzo Papasodero as Nemorino, bass-baritone Domenico Cagliuso as Dulcamara, baritone Marios Andreou as Belcore, and soprano Giulia Bruni as Giannetta. The musical performances are complemented by theatrical Greek-language interludes narrated by Irene Cacoyanni.

Supporting the principal soloists are the 32-member Cyprus Opera Society Chorus and the 24-member Limassol Camerata Orchestra, making this a full-scale operatic experience. Free printed programmes will be available at both performances. 🎶

All proceeds from both performances will be donated to the MIKRI IROES (Little Heroes) Foundation, which supports children with cancer and leukaemia. The production is generously supported by Freedom 24.
