Aguirre, the Wrath of God: Sunday Screening in Nicosia

This late-night cinema event in Nicosia, Cyprus features “Detached House” (Η Μονοκατοικία), screening on Saturday, February 21 at Pantheon Cinema as part of CyFi Fest, in collaboration with Cyprus Cult Cinephiles. Framed as a very different kind of “Spiderman” story, the film offers a tense, provocative, and deliberately uncomfortable viewing experience.

Directed by Ioakim Mylonas, the film follows a petty thief in a Spiderman costume who breaks into a house, unaware it belongs to a retired police officer, only to become trapped in a disturbing power game. Mean-spirited, raw, and confrontational, the film has already premiered at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and is quickly gaining cult status. The screening is strictly 18+ and is presented in Greek with English subtitles.
