Christy: Film Screening in Larnaca

Brendan Canty is an Irish-American musician and filmmaker born in New Jersey in 1966, best known as the drummer of the legendary post-hardcore band Fugazi — one of the most influential and critically important rock bands in the history of American underground music. Alongside Guy Picciotto, Joe Lally, and Ian MacKaye, Canty helped create a sound that defined independent rock in the 1990s and inspired generations of musicians. In addition to his musical work, Canty has pursued filmmaking projects. His appearance at the Georghios Lykourgos Municipal Theatre of Larnaca was a significant cultural event for the island.
