Το Θέατρο ΔΕΝΤΡΟ και η Open Arts παρουσιάζουν το εμβληματικό έργο του Τέννεσση Ουίλλιαμς " Ο ΓΥΑΛΙΝΟΣ ΚΟΣΜΟΣ " σε σκηνοθεσία Θανάση Γεωργίου, με μια εξαιρετική ομάδα συντελεστών και ερμηνευτών. Τέσσερεις μοναξιές πίσω από κλειστές πόρτες, τέσσερεις τρόποι να ονειρεύεσαι μια διαφορετική ζωή.

THE PLAY

A mother, Amanda, clinging to her version of reality. Her son Tom, a poet who works in a shoe warehouse. Her daughter Laura, left with a physical disability after a childhood illness, who finds escape in her collection of small glass animal figurines. All are marked by the early absence of their father, who left them long ago.

The one person who rekindles the family’s hopes for a longed-for passage into the light is the young Jim. But the prisons each has built for themselves prove far stronger than they imagined.

Since 1944, when The Glass Menagerie was first staged, the characters Tom, Amanda and Laura have been beloved like few others by theatre audiences and have left an indelible mark on world drama. A work of memory, tender and painful, that speaks of dreams that went unfulfilled, of family obligations and the search for freedom.

The performance is suitable for ages 12 and up.
