Title: Mother. Woman. Artist.
A raw and natural stand-up circus show.
MOTHER. WOMAN. ARTIST. is a "stand-up circus" performance: a raw #MeToo testimony that uses hula-hoops, expressive physical comedy, and poetic storytelling to confront personal experiences of violence and discrimination. It is a powerful, unfiltered celebration of a woman who refuses to be silenced, reclaiming her identity as a mother, an artist, and a survivor. Witness a performance that transforms the "fragility of the stage" into a site of absolute feminine victory.
"A raw and sincere performance, at the crossroads of circus, theatre, and personal testimony."
"Blending one-woman show, tragic clowning, acrobatic choreography, and poetic storytelling... a raw performance that turns the stage into a cosmos of meaning and emotion."
After the performance, the audience is invited to an open discussion with the artist.

The Artist
Marianna De Sanctis is an award-winning Italian circus innovator and hula-hoop virtuoso who has spent two decades redefining physical theatre. As the founder of Cie MDS, she draws directly from her own life to create art that is both deeply personal and globally resonant. Her work serves as a bold feminist critique of the artistic world, delivered with the precision of a master performer and the raw honesty of a mother who has forged her own path.
The Festival
This performance is part of The Cyprus International Theatre Festival, running from March 2 to March 8, 2026. CITF brings world-class performers from across the globe to Cyprus.
