This international open water swimming event in Protaras, Cyprus takes place on April 18–19, 2026 at Fig Tree Bay. Protaras Open Water and Leg 1 of the European Aquatics Open Water Cup bring together swimmers of all levels for a full weekend of competition and celebration of the sport.
The Protaras Open Water includes 5 km races for Junior Men & Women and Open Men & Women, offering a professionally organised race experience in one of Cyprus’ most iconic swimming locations. At the same time, the European Aquatics Open Water Cup features a 10 km elite race with top European swimmers, a Special Olympics Open Water Cup 800 m promoting inclusion, and a 3 km Masters race.
