About This Event
About the Lecture
The Mediterranean Sea may seem familiar and safe to us, but its waters hide real superheroes and virtuoso hunters. At this lecture-show, we will become true marine detectives!
In the program, we will answer the most pressing questions:
Myth or reality: Can a shark sense a drop of blood from a kilometer away?
Underwater mines: What should you do if you step on a stingray in murky water?
Needle-like syringes: Why does the long-spined sea urchin have such long and venomous weapons?
Camouflage: How can you avoid mistaking the deadly “Portuguese man o’ war” for a harmless jellyfish?
An alien among us: Why does the moray eel have a second pair of jaws (just like in the movies!)?
A living voltmeter: Which ray can deliver an electric shock, and how dangerous is it?
