This live soul, jazz and funk concert in Nicosia, Cyprus takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Sarah’s Jazz Club, featuring the return of The Gandalfinis for an energetic night of groove-driven music.
The band features drummer Marios Nicolaou, bass player and vocalist Constantinos Messios, trumpet player Michalis Michael, guitarist and vocalist Gregory Artemides, and keyboard player and vocalist Argyro Christodoulides. Their repertoire blends soul, jazz and funk influences, creating a lively and diverse musical experience.
The band’s name humorously combines actor James Gandolfini’s iconic The Sopranos character with the wizard Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings. The playful idea reflects the group’s creative spirit and improvisational approach to music.
Doors open at 20:00, with the live performance starting at 21:30. Guests can enjoy food and drinks during the show, including pizza, the Jazz Platter, chicken wings and other dishes, alongside wines, cocktails, beers and other beverages available at the club.
Marios Nicolaou is a Cypriot theatre practitioner and performer who has appeared at Souvenir Bar and Sarah's Jazz & Blues Club. Their stage work contributes to the rich theatrical culture of Cyprus, where a dedicated community of performers sustains quality theatre production across the island.
Constantinos Messios is a Cypriot jazz musician who is a regular part of the musical community at Sarah's Jazz & Blues Club in Nicosia — one of Cyprus's most intimate and beloved jazz venues. His performances there contribute to the club's reputation as the island's premier home for quality live jazz, where musicians and audiences share a passion for the authentic sounds of jazz tradition.
Michalis Michael is a Cypriot musician and live performer who has appeared at Sarah's Jazz & Blues Club.
