I Diafani

The play “Aggelika Nikli Solomou, I Diafani” by Periklis Moscholidakis is presented for the first time in Cyprus by Theatro Lexi, directed by Marina Vronti, in a new stage version that transforms the original monologue into a poetic ensemble.

At the center of the performance is the figure of Aggeliki Nikli, mother of Dionysios Solomos. Through four presences - the woman she was, the young Aggeliki, the voices of society, and the male figures who shaped her life - a story of love, social crisis, and memory unfolds.
The four presences assemble on stage the fragments of a life, creating a polyphonic narrative where personal history becomes collective memory.
“I Diafani” illuminates the woman behind the myth and seeks her voice across time.
