This solo theatre performance in Limassol, Cyprus is presented by Masterskaya AMKE at the Rialto Theatre On Stage on Tuesday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 20:30. Directed and adapted by Sofia Antoniou, the production reimagines Oedipus Tyrannus as a one-actor work running 100 minutes. The performance is in Greek.
The production frames the story of Oedipus as a deeply personal exploration of identity and inherited trauma. Performer Haris Charalambous-Kazepis portrays a wandering narrator — a musician-traveller lost in the vortex of the contemporary city — who searches for his own truth through an intense, shifting confrontation with the self. Rather than a classical retelling, the work draws on the ancient myth as a lens through which to examine what is passed down through generations, and what each person must ultimately face alone.
Direction & Adaptation: Sofia Antoniou | Translation: K. H. Myris | Set Design & Costumes: Marilena Kalaitzantonaki | Music: Ecati | Sound Design & Mixing: Fotis Papatheodorou | Lighting Design: Markella Manoliadi | Dramaturgy Consultant: Eleni Moleski. Performed by: Haris Charalambous-Kazepis.
Ticket prices: €20 / €18 (reduced)
