Title: WHO ARE YOU? Questioning
A unique theatrical experience where the main character is the audience itself
“WHO ARE YOU? Questioning” creates a space that sits at the intersection of theatre and social experiment. Guests are seated in two rows facing one another. Each participant is invited to fill out a questionnaire about the person opposite them, based purely on first impressions, intuition, and observation. The experience culminates in a powerful reveal: each guest receives a collection of what other “saw” in them: an encounter that is often uncannily accurate, moving, and impossible to leave with indifference.
Facing a stranger with nothing to hold onto but eye contact. This is theatre – and yet it’s not. But it certainly makes you think. – Teatralny Gorod
An incredibly valuable experience – the person across from you feels closer after just an hour. A powerful reminder of how shallow our perception of others often is. – Anna Banasyukevich, theatre critic
The Artist
Magic Garden is an all-female Swiss-German theatrical laboratory operating at the cutting edge of performance and social research. Co-founded by director Corinne Maier and award winning playwright Tina Müller, they have developed internationally touring projects like Questioning. Magic Garden has earned its reputation as a trailblazing force and a vital contributor to the landscape of contemporary European experimental theater.
The collective specializes in "theatrical inquiries" – experimental works that dismantle the traditional fourth wall to transform the audience from passive spectators into active participants in a living arts project.
