This award-winning play by Dennis Kelly comes to the Satiriko Theatre in Nicosia, Cyprus, directed by Neoklis Neokleous, premiering on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 20:00 on the Upper Stage. The production runs for 95 minutes without an interval and is recommended for audiences aged 16 and above.
A couple — Helen and Danny — are sharing what appears to be a quiet dinner at home. The calm is shattered when Liam, Helen's brother, bursts in covered in blood. The night that follows pushes the three characters to their limits, forcing them to confront the darker corners of their own nature and the lengths to which people will go to protect their family.
What begins as a domestic drama gradually becomes a taut, unsettling exploration of complicity. Through relentless pacing and dialogue that hits like gasps of panic, Kelly exposes the fractures of contemporary society — the fear of the other, the social violence that hides beneath the surface of normality. The play poses a question it refuses to answer: how far is too far, and what does it cost? The cast features Vasilis Michail, Iliana Kakkoura, and Loukas Prokopious.
