This experiential art workshop for adults at the A.G. Leventis Gallery in Nicosia, Cyprus takes place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 18:30 to 20:30. Titled «Here and Now: Awakening the Senses Through Art», the 2-hour workshop is led by Theodora Demetriou, Head of Educational Programmes, and Lenia Georgiou, Art Therapist and Visual Artist. Participation costs €15. Spaces are limited and the workshop is suitable for all levels.
The session is inspired by the temporary exhibition «Christophoros Savvas: Simple – Complex – Invisible: An Unknown Archive». In the first part, participants engage in guided observation of artworks with focused mindfulness and attention to detail. In the second part, they work creatively with the paintings — activating the sense of smell and recreating their own abstract work in watercolours through an embodied creative process.
The workshop is self-contained, but participants who wish to deepen their experience can also join a follow-up workshop on May 9, 2026, offering a more in-depth exploration of the connection between art and creativity.
