Synopsis of “My Uncle”

Monsieur Hulot—a recurring character in Tati’s films—appears in “My Uncle” as the eccentric uncle of a young boy, the son of the industrialist Arpelle. Upon arriving to visit his relatives, Yulo is surprised to find that his cousin—the owner of automated factories—has fully mechanized his home. But things aren’t going well in the family. Yulo helps his cousin mend his relationship with his son and teaches them both to understand one another.
