Hike with Cyprus Hikers along the Adonis and Aphrodite Circular Trail

• Length: 10 km (loop trail)
• Difficulty: moderate (2/3)
• Elevation gain: ~330 m
• Duration: about 4 hours with stops

The route passes through picturesque forests of black pine and juniper, leading to the ruins of the medieval Pyrgos tis Rigenas monastery and the famous 860-year-old oak tree, which, according to legend, served as a resting place for the goddess Aphrodite.
At the top of Moutti tis Sotiras Hill (340 m), you’ll be treated to stunning views of:

• Polis Chrysochous Bay
• Akamas Forest
• the coastline of the Akamas Peninsula

What to bring:

• plenty of water
• hiking boots
• hiking poles (recommended)

There is a drinking water source along the route near the Regina Tower (rest stop).
