ETHAL (Limassol Theatre Development Company) presents "Matomena Stefana" (Blood Wedding), an adaptation of Federico García Lorca's "Bodas de Sangre" in the Cypriot dialect, at the ETHAL Theatre in Limassol, Cyprus. Directed by Achilleas Grammatikopoulos, the production is a collaboration with Point To Contemporary Theater and Anyhow Theatre Ensemble.
The plot is set in a mixed village in Cyprus in the early 1960s, where love and death meet political and social division. A wedding between two families of different ethnic origins becomes a battleground of passion, love, and blood. The production brings actors from both communities to the stage and stands as an act of cultural reconciliation.
The performance is in Greek and Turkish in the Cypriot dialect, with subtitles in both languages. Suitable for ages 16+. Duration: 110 minutes with no interval.

Achilleas Grammatikopoulos is a Cypriot theatre actor whose work has been seen at the Pefkios Georgiades Theatre at the Lyceum of Aradippou (Tasos Mitsopoulos) — a respected theatrical venue in the Larnaca area. His performances there contribute to the rich theatrical culture that extends beyond the island's main cities into the broader Cypriot community.
