Otaku Day: Japanese Pop Culture Festival in Nicosia

Otaku Day is a comprehensive Japanese pop culture festival taking place at the open-air upper floor parking of Mall of Cyprus in Nicosia, Cyprus on Saturday, May 16th from 12:00 until midnight, with support from the Embassy of Japan in Cyprus.

This full-day celebration features over 40 artist popups and community booths, live J-music performances, DJ sets, dance shows, and a cosplay contest with €1,500 in Mall gift cards as prizes. Attendees can experience traditional kimono wearing with Mayumi, enjoy katsu sandwiches by Minako's Kitchen, sample Asahi beer, sake, and Japanese cocktails from the CCC Bar, plus participate in anime-themed quests and karaoke sessions.

The festival includes Tekken 8 free play throughout the day, a manga lending library sponsored by Book Odyssey, and various cultural activities celebrating Japanese pop culture and anime.
