Katadikos Mou: Comedy by Eleni Rantou in Cyprus

The award-winning Greek comedy "Katadikos Mou" (My Convict) comes to Cyprus for a touring run across four cities in June, directed by Eleni Rantou. Sixteen years after its original debut in Athens and following three years of sold-out performances across Greece, this sharp contemporary comedy arrives on the island to move and entertain Cypriot audiences.

The plot weaves together the lives of a foreign burglar, a philologist on the brink of separation, an elderly history professor with dementia, and a retired Balkan champion searching for new meaning — all tangled in a colourful web of fears and interdependencies as they try to love, trust, and rediscover themselves. The play was awarded the "Karolos Koun" Greek Dramaturgy Prize in 2012 and attracted the interest of the National Theatre in England.

The cast features Nadia Kontogeorgi, Prokopis Agathokleous, Lefteris Zabetakis, Michalis Iatropoulos, Ilias Valasis, and Tasos Chalkias. Duration: 2 hours with a 15-minute interval. The performance is suitable for ages 12 and above. Part of the net proceeds will be donated to Ronald McDonald's House of Charities Cyprus.
