Duo Mouttes Pavliades: Relaxing Evening Hiking in Nicosia

Duo Mouttes Pavliades is a relaxing evening hike through the unique Machairas forest in Nicosia, Cyprus, ending with souvlaki at Kionia picnic area on July 11, 2026. This trail stands out for being covered with the endemic Latzia oak and offering spectacular views of Cyprus's major cities.

🚶‍♂️ 8km circular route, 2.5 hours duration, moderate difficulty level

The hike begins at 6:00 PM from the trail start (gathering at 5:50 PM). What makes this trail special compared to the rest of Machairas forest is its coverage with endemic Latzia oak (Quercus Alnifolia). Throughout the entire route, you'll enjoy impressive views of Larnaca, Nicosia, and Limassol.

After the hike, we'll end at Kionia picnic area for beer and souvlaki. Souvlaki cost is €5 per person (includes souvlaki in pita with tahini, prepared by club members).
