About This Event
Who killed the reader? (12+)
New lecture in the Russian library!
Over twenty years, the proportion of people reading for pleasure has fallen by almost 40%. Yes, don’t you think, we really began to read less.
June 20 at 18:00 in the Russian library - a lecture on reading in the digital age.
Let's look at it:
- who are the suspects: paper, screen, audiobook, phone
- who has the motive, who has the alibi
- What is the screen inferiority effect?
— is an audiobook considered reading?
- where is the actual murder weapon?
Without nostalgia in the spirit of “they used to read, but now they surf the Internet.” Only research, logic and an open ending - which the audience will decide for itself.
Speaker:
Polina Akhieva is a philologist, teacher, and host of book clubs at the Russian library in Limassol.
Panayioti Simeou 6, KANIKA Center K-17, Limassol 3105
