Limassol will once again become the island’s musical capital, hosting the 6th Brass Band Festival—a vibrant cultural event that will bring together Cyprus’s finest bands and treat residents and visitors alike to two days of music, a festive atmosphere, and impressive performances.
The festival is organized by the Limassol Municipality in collaboration with the Our Lady of Amassgoumenou Foundation and aims to promote brass band music, foster cultural exchange, and support the island’s musical ensembles.
Saturday, July 4:
At 6:00 p.m., the festival will open with a colorful parade of brass bands along the Molos Promenade. The Limassol Municipality Brass Band, together with the Cyprus Tourist Guides Association, as well as the European University of Cyprus Symphony Brass Band alongside the Limassol majorettes, will take part in the parade. The musicians will march through the city’s central squares, creating a truly festive atmosphere.
At 7:00 p.m., guests are invited to a concert in the courtyard of Limassol’s Medieval Castle—one of the city’s most iconic historical landmarks. The castle’s majestic atmosphere will provide the perfect backdrop for an open-air musical evening.
Sunday, July 5:
The second day of the festival will begin at 6:00 p.m. with another large-scale parade featuring:
Performances will take place at several iconic locations throughout the city, including the grounds of the Medieval Castle, Maria Callas Square, and Limassol’s Old Port Square.
The festival will conclude with a grand closing ceremony at 8:30 p.m. at Old Port Square, where participants and spectators can enjoy the final musical performances and the festive atmosphere.
If you love live music, brass bands, and open-air cultural events, don’t miss the chance to be part of this vibrant summer event in the heart of Limassol.
