King of Kite: Cyprus Kitesurfing Championship 2026 in Larnaca

King of Kite 2026 is Cyprus's premier kitesurfing championship, taking place in Larnaca on 18–19 July at the iconic Kahuna Surfhouse on Softades Beach. Now in its 13th edition, this two-day festival of wind and water is headlined this year by Red Bull athlete Hamza Ismail. The full competition schedule depends on the wind forecast and is subject to change.

Athletes compete across four disciplines:

Riders battle for cash prizes, sponsor gifts, and the coveted title of King & Queen of Kite 2026. To claim the overall crown, competitors must enter both the Freestyle and Big Air disciplines.

Beyond the action on the waves, the event brings live DJ sets running from afternoon into the night, street food vendors, pop-up shops, and the vibrant Kahuna community atmosphere that has made this festival a fixture on the Cyprus summer calendar.
