About This Event

The 2nd Machalepion Festival is a free open-air music event taking place in Amiantos, Limassol, Cyprus on Sunday, 9 August 2026 at 15:30. The afternoon celebration brings together exceptional musicians and concludes with a traditional Machalepion (sweet) tasting from 17:00 to 20:00.

The stage features four outstanding artists: Antonis Chourdakis (lyra, vocals), Kostis Chalkiadakis (laouto, vocals), Stefanos Pelekanis and Areti Ketiме. Their combined artistry spans Cretan music, Greek folk tradition and Eastern Mediterranean sounds, promising a rich and soulful afternoon of live performance.

Alongside the music, visitors are invited to enjoy a complimentary serving of Machalepion - a traditional Cypriot sweet - making this a truly local and culturally immersive celebration.
