A two-day festival celebrating zivania, Cyprus's traditional spirit, held in Pelendri on 7–8 November 2026. The event features distillation demonstrations, traditional music and dance, workshops, and local food and crafts.
The village of Pelendri has officially announced the dates for its annual two-day celebration! The Pelendri Zivania Festival will take place on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, offering visitors an authentic taste of Cypriot tradition and hospitality.
The festival will feature:
- Traditional music and dancing
- Local market
- Reenactments of the traditional grape harvest
- Grape stomping
- Traditional, time-honoured process of distilling zivania, Cyprus's iconic grape-based spirit
Take a stroll towards the village centre and discover the heart of the festivities. Mingle with the locals and watch the traditional distilling process.
Sample this authentic Cypriot drink and pair it with delicious local cured and smoked meats, such as hiromeri (traditional cured pork), lountza (cured pork loin), and Cypriot sausages.
