The festival is dedicated to kolotzi—the Cypriot dialect term for vegetables of the gourd family (Cucurbita), including pumpkins, squash, zucchini, and various types of decorative and edible gourds.
A true gastronomic journey awaits festival guests. Here, you can sample kolotzi in a wide variety of traditional and modern dishes: from sweet kolokotes—Cypriot pastries filled with pumpkin, bulgur, and raisins—to zucchini jam, aromatic pumpkin soups, and sauces. And one of the most unusual treats will be kolotzi liqueur.
The festival isn’t just about food—it’s also an opportunity to learn about the traditions and history of Mutullas. Guests can take guided tours of the village, as well as participate in creative and culinary workshops. You’ll have the chance to try your hand at pumpkin carving and learn the secrets of making traditional Cypriot “spoon sweets.”
The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by music, DJ sets, and live performances by popular bands.
