This one-of-a-kind 2-day festival takes place in Fyti, the main weaving center of Pafos district, where the woven textile got its name. It is a great opportunity to witness skilled weavers on the loom, touch and feel these embroideries, learn about the techniques, and unveil stories that date back to the medieval times.
See up close the centuries-old art of zivania distillation and the delicious process of halloumi cheese making. An array of stalls selling a mouthwatering selection of traditional food and crafts will be on site such as resi (coarsely wheat boiled in meat broth), loukoumades (honey balls), palouzes (grape juice mixed with flour), halloumi cheese, breads, honey pies and much more.
Make the most of your visit in Fyti by taking a walk in the village, admiring the view of the Chrysochous bay and the breathtaking sunsets, visiting the fythkiotika textiles exhibition, the weaving museum, the 900 years old oak tree and the unfailing Akrikos water spring.
