At the heart of the plot is the love story of the charming barber Basilio and the beautiful Kitri. Their path to happiness is fraught with family objections, amusing misunderstandings, dizzying adventures, and, of course, encounters with the legendary knight Don Quixote, who sincerely believes in the power of love, nobility, and the fulfillment of even the boldest dreams.

Created in 1869 and based on Miguel de Cervantes’s immortal novel, this ballet has been considered a true gem of the world stage for over a century and a half. Its famous Grand Pas de Deux ranks among the most complex and spectacular numbers in classical ballet, demanding the highest level of artistry from the dancers.
