There are places you simply can’t visit on an ordinary day. One of them is the presidential summer residence in Troodos.
On September 6, it will open its doors to the public as part of the third “Pame Troodos 3” festival of traditional cuisine and crafts
This is a wonderful opportunity to spend a Sunday in the cool Troodos Mountains, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Cypriot tradition, and explore this residence with its rich history.
A bit of history:
The residence once served as the summer residence of British governors, and after Cyprus gained independence, it became the summer presidential residence. Today, it is a special historical site that is usually closed to the public.
What awaits festival guests?
Throughout the day, you’ll be able to:
- sample traditional Cypriot dishes;
- meet local producers and artisans;
- listen to live music;
- see traditional folk instruments;
- learn more about Cypriot customs and culture;
- take part in traditional poetry contests;
- find entertainment and activities for children.
And best of all—all of this takes place in the incredible atmosphere of the Troodos Mountains, surrounded by pine trees and historic architect
