Following sold-out performances and rave reviews in Athens, where it premiered, as well as appearances at major festivals and leading theaters in Belgrade, Dresden, Amsterdam, Adelaide, Madrid, Munich, Stockholm, Vienna, Berlin, and Venice, Goodbye, Lindita is finally coming to Nicosia.

This is one of the most unusual productions in contemporary European theater. At the heart of the play lies the universal and painful human experience of losing a loved one.

Inside an ordinary house, a family silently mourns its loss. But gradually, strange, almost otherworldly events begin to unfold, opening a door to a realm where memories intertwine with imagination, and reality merges with dreams.

Mario Banushi draws on his own memories and experiences of Balkan funeral rites. Together with outstanding performers, he explores this inevitable aspect of human existence through an atmosphere of profound, almost sacred silence.
