1st Carob Fruit Syrup Festival

At the heart of the festival is the carob tree and the syrup made from its fruit – a traditional Cypriot product inextricably linked to the island’s culinary heritage
Festival guests will be able to learn more about the history and significance of terazomelo (the Cypriot name for carob syrup), discover traditional methods of preparing it, and sample a variety of dishes and treats made with it.

Cypriot music and traditional dances
Traditional dishes and local flavours
Hands-on workshops for children and adults
An introduction to local traditions and culture
Tasting of traditional produce and dishes

Through interactive workshops, participants will not only learn more about the village’s traditions, but also have the chance to try their hand at making traditional produce and experience the region’s culture first-hand.
