The Return of Iphigenia

The Municipality of Strovolos brings its "Culture in Every Neighbourhood" series to a close with a captivating music-theatre performance inspired by Yannis Ritsos, taking place in Nicosia, Cyprus. On Tuesday, 29 September 2026, at 20:30, the Caves of Acropolis Park become an open-air stage where poetry and live music intertwine in a deeply immersive experience.

Actress Varvara Christofi brings Ritsos's text to life through rich emotional and vocal layering, while musician Dimitris Spyrou creates live soundscapes on stage using live looping techniques. Together, they guide audiences through the inner journey of Iphigenia.
