About This Event

The 6th Festival of Traditional Food & Crafts returns to Tembria Village Square on Saturday, 12 September 2026, starting at 16:30. This beloved cultural celebration in Nicosia, Cyprus, brings together the flavours, trades and music of a bygone era in one vibrant afternoon. Entry is completely free for all visitors.

Taste authentic local delicacies including Tembria-style katsoures, warm paloures, trahanas, village bread, cheese pastries, crispy loukoumades with honey, and traditional soussamokoulos. At the same time, discover living demonstrations of traditional crafts and trades such as zivania distillation, kolotsi decoration, loom weaving and basket-making.

🎶 Live music and dance performances will be provided by the musical ensemble of Dimitris Mesimeris and Irini Pelagia, with additional performances by the Cultural Club of AHK Larnaca. Young and old can enjoy train rides around the village square, and take part in a hands-on katsoures baking session led by Chef Savvas Savvas.
