Carrot Festival

About This Event
The carrot is not only one of the most popular and nutritious vegetables, but also one of the most significant agricultural products of Liopetri, a community in the Kokkinochoria region (Red soil villages), renowned for its rich history, fertile land and natural beauty. With its characteristic sweet flavor and high nutritional value, the carrot takes center stage at the local Carrot Festival.
Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to embark on a unique culinary journey, where the carrots are the main attraction. Experienced chefs will present live demonstrations of both traditional and modern recipes, from carrot spoon sweets, jams and ice creams to carrot croquettes, carrot pilaf, carrot bread and many other creative flavors. And of course, the festival wouldn’t be complete without refreshing carrot juices and distinctive carrot liqueurs.
Meet the local producers and discover the secrets behind this famous vegetable. The festival will also host charitable organisations, community groups and other local professionals offering various carrot-themed creations for sale.
The celebrations continue with a concert featuring well-known singers, promising an evening of joy and good times that lasts until late at night.
