Mountain Games Cyprus 2026

Mountain Games Cyprus 2026 is a fully free, non-profit European sporting festival taking place across the Troodos Mountain Region in Cyprus from 23 to 26 September 2026, during the European Week of Sport. Coordinated by the MountMed Institute and funded by the Erasmus+ Sport Programme, the event brings together eleven organisations from ten European countries to celebrate sport, culture, healthy living, and inclusion in a stunning mountain setting.

Guided by the theme Healthy Lifestyles for All, the four-day programme is designed to welcome everyone — athletes, students, families, older adults, persons with disabilities, local communities, and international delegations. Activities span mountain biking, hiking, orienteering, traditional games, educational workshops, a two-day gastronomic celebration (Taste, Move & Thrive), cultural experiences, and an opening International Scientific Symposium on health and active living.

Navigation, inclusion, healthy nutrition and outdoor experiences.

Friday–Saturday, 25–26 September 2026 — Taste, Move & Thrive
A dedicated two-day celebration of Troodos mountain food products, gastronomy, healthy eating and wellbeing.

Saturday, 26 September 2026 — Hiking, Cultural Heritage & Closing Ceremony
Nature, culture and celebration come together.
