    About This Event

A powerful psychological drama from the Ostrov Theatre, based on one of Tennessee Williams’ most celebrated plays.

Can we escape the past if it continues to live within us?

How much truth can a person bear?

And what happens when the light becomes too bright and there is nowhere left to hide?

Blanche DuBois arrives at the home of her sister Stella, hoping to find safety and begin her life again. She brings with her a suitcase, impeccable manners and a fragile world of illusions concealing a troubled past.

But Stella’s husband, Stanley, has no patience for secrets or half-truths. Their encounter becomes a merciless collision between two worlds: refinement and brute force, fantasy and reality, the longing to be loved and the desire to possess.

What is “A Streetcar Named Desire”?

It is a deeply personal tragedy about love, dependence and loneliness.

It is a story about protective illusions and the price people pay when those illusions are destroyed.

It is intense psychological theatre in which a small apartment becomes a battlefield, while the people closest to one another fail to see the approaching tragedy until it is too late.

This is a performance that does not end when the curtain falls. It stays with you long afterwards.

Baby-sitting will be organized for parents during the performance. Reservation by phone 95929870 is required.
