Wine and Gastronomy Festival Potamiou 2026

The charming village of Potamiou invites everyone to its grand festival celebrating winemaking and traditional cuisine.
It will be a day filled with the aromas of a traditional Cypriot estate and live music.

Programme:
Village delicacies: the chance to sample and buy the freshest ‘palouze’ grape porridge, sweet ‘shushuko’ sausages, traditional ‘kulurutya’ biscuits in syrup, and fragrant ‘tremitopittes’ pies.
Warming ‘trahana’: the iconic Cypriot soup will be prepared for guests right in the square.
Wine and zivania galore: and what sort of festival would it be without ripe local grapes, homemade wines and strong distilled zivania.
Interactive workshops: both adults and children will be able to get hands-on and take part in preparing traditional dishes under the guidance of local artisans.
Wine cycle tour (at 15:30): bring your bikes! A picturesque ride along the local wine routes around the village awaits you.
‘Paths of Remembrance’ (at 16:30): a unique cultural quest-style tour. Possibility to visit four traditional village houses, meet four local elders and hear four real, moving stories from Potamiou’s past.
