About This Event
David Sparrow is coauthor of the book “The Amphibians and Reptiles of Cyprus” which was first published in 2009 and the second edition in 2012. He is the editor of the book “The Wildlife of Cyprus”. He will be giving a talk on the lizards of Cyprus at the environmental centre on September 26. The talk will begin with a general introduction to lizards and what makes them so special and will then cover the lizards of Cyprus in some detail. The island has 11 lizard species: three “true lizards”, four skinks, two geckos, a chameleon and an agama, several of which are endemic, i.e. unique to Cyprus.
This presentation will be in English is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Eu8 per person, eu5 per person under 18. Reservations are recommended: epeicentre.com/contact or 26 642234, mornings.
