Jay-jay Johanson

Swedish artist Jay-Jay Johanson, once voted “the most beautiful man in the world”, will perform in Cyprus for the first time.

Born in Trollhättan on October 11, 1968, Jay-Jay Johanson began composing music as a teenager. His debut album, “Whiskey”, was released in August 1996. Recorded at Break My Heart Studio in the Stockholm archipelago, the album achieved instant success with its distinctive combination of jazzy vocals, trip hop beats and atmospheric film noir arrangements.

The success of “Whiskey” took Jay-Jay on his first world tour, marking the beginning of a long international career of performances around the globe.

27 years later, Jay-Jay Johanson remains as active as ever, continuing to develop his distinctive musical style. Throughout his career, he has released a series of acclaimed albums and created underground hits such as “So Tell the Girl that I Am Back in Town”, “Believe In Us”, “On the Radio” and “Heard Somebody Whistle”. He has also collaborated with influential names in international music, including Cocteau Twins and The Knife.

Today, Jay-Jay Johanson presents his 14th album, “FETISH”, while his new worldwide tour is already underway.

As part of his new worldwide tour, Jay-Jay Johanson will perform in Cyprus for the first time, bringing his music live to Cypriot audiences.
