Short Film Festival

The 16th International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (ISFFC 2026) is the country's leading official annual event in the short film industry, with international status, held outdoors and in the halls of Rialto Theatre in Limassol from 10 to 16 October 2026.

Since 2019, the festival has been an official partner of the European Film Academy (EFA), allowing the main winning film to be automatically nominated for the prestigious European film award.

Key highlights of the festival in 2026:
Thematic focus. The central theme and inspiration for the festival's 16th season is the "restless energy of youth and lust for life" (lust for life). The entire programme is infused with an atmosphere of rebellion, joy, and a search for new visual forms.
Rich film programme. Audiences will see dozens of the best fiction, animation, documentary, and experimental short films from around the world and by local Cypriot filmmakers (all films are no longer than 30 minutes).
Beyond-the-screen events. In addition to daily film screenings, the week features educational workshops, discussions with directors, and multimedia performances in collaboration with local artists at Heroes' Square and inside the theatre.

All films are screened strictly in their original language with English and Greek subtitles.
All screenings are strictly 18+.
