Joanna Sophia Around the World in 5K Charity Run

On October 25, Paphos will host the Joanna Sophia Around the World in 5K charity run—a sporting and community event that brings people of all ages together for an important cause.

Participants will run or walk a distance of 5 kilometers along a scenic route in Paphos. The race will start in the square near the medieval castle, and the course will wind along the famous Paphos coastline.

The main goal of the event is to raise awareness about epilepsy and sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP), as well as to support the work of the Joanna Sophia Foundation in educating the public about this issue.

Everyone is invited to participate—from experienced runners to families with children and those who prefer a leisurely walk. Sports performance isn’t what matters here: the main thing is participation, support, and the opportunity to work together to raise awareness of this important issue.

The organizers promise a special atmosphere: a sunset route, entertainment, surprises, and vibrant installations along the way.

The event is organized by the Joanna Sophia Foundation in collaboration with Round Table 7 Paphos, with the support of the Paphos Municipality. The run is dedicated to the memory of Joanna Sophia Ioannou, who tragically passed away in 2018.
