The 10th KOAP Rural Culture Festival in Protaras

On 2 and 3 October, Protaras invites you to the anniversary 10th KOAP Rural Culture Festival - a major celebration of Cypriot traditions, local cuisine, music and folk arts.

For two evenings, Lefkolla Municipal Square will become a place where visitors can discover authentic rural culture of Cyprus: taste traditional products, watch local dishes being prepared, take part in creative activities and simply enjoy time with the whole family.

The programme includes traditional Cypriot treats such as palouze, soutzoukos, halloumi and homemade bread, folk dances, music, theatre performances, children's activities and a cooking demonstration. Guests will also enjoy a free tasting of the prepared dish.

The musical programme will be one of the festival's main highlights. On 2 October, Frederica Tombazou and Dimitris Mesimeris will perform, while on 3 October the stage will be taken by Christos Thivaios.

The festival is suitable for both adults and children - an opportunity to discover Cyprus's culinary traditions, hear live music, watch folk dances and experience the atmosphere of a genuine local celebration.
