Walking art tour

On Friday, 2 October 2026, a free walking art tour titled "The City as a Stage: The Intersection of Art and Activism in Nicosia" will take place in Nicosia. The tour is organised as part of the Buffer Fringe festival, in collaboration with the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research.

The tour will be led by curators Dimitra Ignatiou and Melek Kaptanoglou.

Participants will explore both sides of divided Nicosia, discovering street art, cultural projects and urban social movements. The guides will explain how activists and artists use urban space to promote the ideas of peace and coexistence between communities.

Participation is completely free, but places are strictly limited, so prior online registration is required (you must add the ticket to the website's "basket").

You must bring a valid passport or ID card, as the route includes crossing the dividing line (the UN Green Line).

The tour will be conducted in English.
