The play Oscar and the Lady in Pink

For the first time in Cyprus, the poignant drama Oscar and the Lady in Pink, based on the world-famous novel by the French writer Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, is to be staged. The production is directed by Philip Gurevich, a director and multiple nominee for the Golden Mask Award.

This is a touching and profound story about how Oscar, a seriously ill boy, and his carer, Grandma Rosa, save each other. Oscar plays an unusual game: counting every day he lives as ten years of his life. In just 12 days, Oscar manages to experience the entire human journey — from youth, first love and marriage to a mid-life crisis, old age and coming to terms with the inevitable.

Starring: renowned theatre and film actresses Victoria Tolstoganova and Svetlana Ivanova.
