A festival in honour of the women of Cyprus’s villages

Friday, 9 October, will be a special day for the Nicosia district, which will host the 14th ‘Agrotissa’ Festival, dedicated entirely to the hard-working women of Cyprus’s villages — those who, from generation to generation, preserve the unique traditions, crafts and flavours of our island.

What to expect at the festival:
Living culture. The evening will be filled with traditional Cypriot music and folk dancing.
Local flavours. You’ll be able to sample famous Cypriot delicacies, prepared using authentic recipes.
Crafts exhibition. The venue will host a large exhibition of handmade crafts and fresh farm produce.
Meaningful celebrations. The highlight of the evening will be tributes and events celebrating the invaluable contribution of rural women to society.
